More about Ina
Ina, a cheerful and empathetic clinician, began her journey in speech therapy after earning her Master of Speech Therapy from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Her career started in 2019 in a preschool early intervention program, where she worked with children with special needs from ages 2-6. This experience laid a strong foundation for her as she went on to serve children from ages 1-12 in private clinic settings, kindergartens, home settings, and schools.
In 2023, Ina moved to Toronto to pursue her passion for helping children achieve their communication goals, working in clinic and home settings. With a background in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, Ina understands the importance of structured training. Still, she believes in tailoring her approach to each child’s unique needs, whether through naturalistic or structured methods.
Ina is deeply driven by her desire to assist families in finding the missing keys to effective communication with their children. She believes in a family-based training approach and emphasizes collaboration with caregivers. She believes that it is always the therapist's responsibility to spark a child’s progress, not to focus on their limitations.
When she's not working, Ina enjoys yoga, bouldering, dancing, and embarking on road trips across Canada and the US—next stop, Mexico!
