I can hardly believe it’s been a year since we made the switch to this incredible platform. It feels like just yesterday, right after my wedding, that I made the bold decision to make all our courses free. I was tired of seeing emails from parents saying they couldn't access the resources they needed because they didn’t have a credit card. So, I pulled the trigger!
Looking back, I know it was the right decision. My goal has always been to ensure that every parent has the information they need, readily available, to help their speech-delayed child communicate better. And now, a year later, our community has flourished beyond what I ever imagined. With 10,800 members, we’ve grown into the largest speech delay-related forum online— all in less than a year!
I’ve been listening closely to your feedback, and one idea that keeps coming up is the desire for meet-ups. Many of you have expressed interest in connecting with other parents in person, and I think it’s a fantastic idea!
The information you need is already here, and now it’s time to take action. Imagine if we could facilitate smaller parent groups, bringing together families from the same region with children at similar stages of development. These groups could:
- Work on the same language goals together
- Keep each other accountable
- Build relationships with parents who truly understand your journey
Trust me, you only need 10-15 minutes of focused action each day. You don’t need more information—just a little push and the support of others working towards the same goal. And remember, if you ever get stuck, we’ll be here to guide you.
So, what do you think? Would you be interested in joining or organizing these smaller groups? Comment below and share your thoughts!
If there’s enough interest, I’m planning to host an anniversary members-only live call where I’ll answer your questions and outline the vision for these meet-ups. Let’s celebrate our incredible growth together and explore new ways to connect and support each other on this journey.
